Anduril Founder Warns of US Over-Reliance on China for Critical Resources
Palmer Luckey, founder of defense technology firm Anduril Industries, has issued a stark warning about America's dependence on Chinese supply chains for rare earth elements and semiconductors. In a Bloomberg interview coinciding with renewed US-China trade tensions, the Oculus VR pioneer argued this vulnerability threatens both economic stability and national security.
"We have to get off the Chinese supply chain," Luckey declared, emphasizing the need for domestic reindustrialization. His comments came hours after former President TRUMP floated new tariffs, reigniting fears of Beijing's retaliation. Anduril claims to have already severed ties with Chinese suppliers—a move Luckey suggests more defense contractors should emulate.
